July 01, 2004. Procter & Gamble have appointed Mr. Gianni Ciserani, currently Vice President, Europe Babycare, based in Geneva, to the position of Vice President and General Manager of Procter & Gamble UK & Ireland with effect from July 1, 2004.

Mr. Ciserani succeeds Mr. Chris de Lapuente, who has been promoted to the position of President, Global Haircare.

Mr. Ciserani is a native of Verona, Italy and joined P&G in Rome in 1987, where he held positions of increasing responsibility before moving to Frankfurt in 1998 as Marketing Director, Pampers Western Europe. He took up his current assignment in 2000.

He is married with two sons and is looking forward to his new assignment. He says:
