P&G and UNICEF Sabbatical Programme
P&G has launched an employee Sabbatical Programme to support UNICEF's work for women and children worldwide. The programme is open to all P&G employees based in Western Europe and offers the opportunity to take a 3 month sabbatical to go work with UNICEF.

Procter & Gamble Contributions Exceed $2 Million to Haiti Relief
P&G product donations total more than $1.2 million with cash and donations from P&G, its employees and retirees, taking the total over $2 million. Product donations include bar soaps, batteries, bleach, diapers, dish detergents, feminine hygiene products, flashlights, laundry detergents, paper towels, shampoos, toilet tissue, tooth brushes, toothpaste, and wipes. Additionally, P&G has committed to providing six million packets of PUR, a technology that purifies contaminated water. This quantity is enough to treat 60 million liters of water (a 3-month supply for 340,000 people).

These product and cash donations are expected to increase over the next two months.

Partnership with Muscular Dystrophy Campaign in UK
Two children with muscle disease are set to become the faces of a national advertising campaign to help raise money for others with the condition through a new partnership between Procter & Gamble (P&G) and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

Nine-year-old Libby Smalley from Birmingham and Ronak Patel, 13, from London are appearing in a new TV advert to be screened from early January 2010 to drive awareness of and raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to help children lead more independent lives.

From 13 January to 2 February 2010, P&G will be donating 5p for each product* sold across 15 of their leading brands sold in Tesco stores including Bold, Pampers and Gillette.

After months of training and preparation, today the SUMMIT ON THE SUMMIT: Kilimanjaro climbers will begin their highly-anticipated ascent of Africa's tallest (19,340-ft) mountain - Mt. Kilimanjaro.
