The Noxzema Protective
Shave range is currently available
in three variants, Regular,
Menthol and Cocoa Butter.
The
addition of extra menthol in the Menthol variant also
offers an extra cool, soothing
shaving experience.

Early in the 20th century, the Company began with one man's
idea for a new
product and his
perseverance
and dedication
to make his dream a reality.
Dr. Bunting was a dedicated Baltimore pharmacist. In 1914 he developed, in the
prescription room of a drug store, a combination of medication and "vanishing
cream" as a treatment for sunburn and appropriately called it "Dr. Buntings Sunburn
Remedy".
One day, a customer who tried the new concoction on his eczema, stated to Dr.
Bunting with great satisfaction: "Your cream knocked my eczema!" This opened
up broad new possibilities for the product, and also inspired the name Noxzema.
By the 1950's an emphasis on strengthening our consumer franchise grew and innovative
products were established such as shave cream, suntan lotion and cold cream.
By 1966, Noxzema Chemical Company adopted the name Noxell.
In 1989, the Noxell Corporation was acquired by Procter & Gamble.
